In Sparrow, you can add multiple users to your account if you're on a Teams plan or have a custom plan that allows you to have access to our multi-user feature.

This feature is useful if you want to add your teammates to Sparrow, or want to invite a client to view their data/reports in a dedicated Sparrow workspace.

How to add a user

To add a new user to your Sparrow business profile, you will first need to navigate to the Teams tab in the Settings page:

Once your on the Teams page, you can invite a new user by clicking the purple Add team member button at the top right of the page.

WIthin the invite modal, you:

  1. Enter the user's email address

  2. Select what level of access the user will have

    1. Admin users have access to everything in Sparrow, including:

      1. adding and removing data sources

      2. adding or removing workspaces

      3. adding or removing teammates

      4. managing account settings

    2. Member users have access to:

      1. whatever workspaces are specified in the workspaces selector

        1. This could be "all workspaces" or a subset of workspaces

      2. Analytics pages to view data

      3. Reports

  3. Click the Add button

  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for as many users as you want to invite

  5. Once finished, click Invite team members at the bottom to send out invites to all users.


Once you click Invite team members, everyone will receive an email from Sparrow with an invitation to join your workspace.

Troubleshooting:

The invitation is invalid:

If the recipient of an invitation takes too long to accept the invite, the invite link will become expired and the user will no longer be able to sign up and access the shared account.

To resolve this, first, the team admin must cancel the original invitation:

Then they can go through and re-invite the user through the same invite team member flow.

My teammate is not receiving the invitation email from Sparrow:

There are a few reasons this could be happening:

  • First, have your teammate check their spam folder. It's possible the invite was filtered and sent to spam. Please have them move the email to their primary inbox to help prevent this for other users 😉

  • If the email we send bounced for whatever reason, then we will not attempt to send another email to the same address. If you believe this happened to you, please contact support.

For all other issues, please have your admin contact support. We are more than happy to help you invite a new user to your team.
